We've got some very exciting news for our cat owning clients who have their pets vaccinated for feline leukemia. Merial has introduced a new form of leukemia vaccine which is administered intradermally as opposed to the more traditional subcutaneous route. In addition the new vaccine is non adjuvanted which means that the inflammation is reduced. This means less pain and a better immune response and therefore better protection for your cat! We generally recommend any cat who goes outside unattended to recieve this vaccine after first being tested to verify their negative status. We are currently training our staff to use this new form of the vaccine and should begin administration soon.
